Construction Observer (Posted October 4, 2011)

CET Engineering Services is a recognized leader in innovation and reliable engineering water and wastewater solutions that protect and improve the environment.  Our growing company has several opportunities for a Construction Observer at our client site located in north central Pennsylvania. 

As an integral member of the project team, your primary responsibility is to support the firm's wastewater consulting activities by:

Project Description:
·         Serve as the primary liaison between the engineer and the contractor throughout all phases of the project
·         Perform operational and administrative data collection and analysis, facility analysis and report preparation
·         Actively participate in client and project team meetings
·         Represent the firm to clients, regulatory agencies, and other interested parties
·         Cultivate existing client relationships
·         Observe and assessing construction activities
·         Maintain appropriate reports and records
·         Determine progress payments
·         Perform acceptance inspections and observing testing
·         Document information to prepare drawings
·         Assist with contract close-out documentation

Successful candidates will have:
·         A minimum of 5 years of practical experience with administration of water/wastewater or industrial plant projects
·         Experience working with multiple subcontractors and demonstrated effective communication with clients, owners and contractors
·         Good organizational, interpersonal and verbal/written communications skills
·         Excellent attention to detail
·         Working knowledge of MS Office
